New Assam Sahitya Sabha branch to be established

BISWANATH CHARIALI, June 12: 
A press release issued by Dulal Nath, secretary of the Sonitpur district committee, has announced the formation of a new branch of the Assam Sahitya Sabha under the Sonitpur district committee on June 13.

Extensive discussions have taken place at the grassroots level in preparation for this development. It is worth mentioning that the Sonitpur district committee was honoured with the title of the best organisational district by the central committee of the literary body during its Narayanpur session. Dr Bhupen Saikia and Dulal Nath, serving as president and secretary respectively, have implemented various innovative and appealing measures to enhance the strength of the district committee. A total of 10 branches have been established under their proactive leadership.
