New organisation ‘Justice for National Highway (JNH) 36’ formed

DIPHU, Nov 8: A new organisation by the name and style of ‘Justice for National Highway (JNH) 36’ was formed recently to deal with the massive corruption in the 4 lane road widening construction on NH-36 allegedly by the officials of Land & Revenue Department of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council.

A press statement issued to media stated, “Justice for National Highway -36 has been constituted on October 29 last to deal with the massive corruption in which the officials of Land & Revenue of KAAC are involved in the ongoing road widening work on NH-36 under taken by National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited is a fully owned company of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India.”

The statement also said the JNH is constituted to expose the land grabbing by the officials of Land & Revenue department from land owners. The JNH is headed by Davinson Hanse as president and Longki Phangcho as secretary with Sundar Engti, Alex Rongpi, Robin Tisso, Bida Bey, Amit Engti and Dharam Rongpi as members.
