Newly married woman mysterious death sparks outrage in Nagaon

NAGAON, Feb 11: A newly married woman named Ankita Bora, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her husband’s residence, located at Nonoi Tulsimukh in the district on Tuesday morning here.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage and shock in the local community.

According to reports, Ankita’s body was discovered in the morning with injury marks on her body. Her family alleged that she was subjected to physical and mental torture by her husband, Bishwajit Das, and his family.

Ankita, a resident of Kampur Dakshinpat Bhakatgaon village, was married to Bishwajit, a police personnel of the Assam Police Commando Unit, just a year ago. Her family claimed that Ankita was frequently beaten and harassed by her husband and his family.

Meanwhile the local Nonoi police arrested Bishwajit in connection with Ankita’s death. The police have started an investigation into the incident and are questioning Bishwajit and his family members.

Ankita’s family has filed a complaint against Bishwajit and his family, alleging that they were responsible for her death. The police were awaiting the post-mortem report to determine the cause of Ankita’s death.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage in the community, with many demanding justice for Ankita and her family.
