NFR to host I-Day cultural event at Eco Park, Amingaon

GUWAHATI, Aug 13: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will present a special patriotic performance at Eco Park, Amingaon, Guwahati, on the evening of August 15, as part of the nationwide Independence Day 2025 celebrations.

According to an official statement, the event is part of Indian Railways’ initiative to foster patriotic spirit through RPF Band performances at key public venues across the country.

On August 15 evening, the RPF Band will also perform at Kakori Railway Station in Uttar Pradesh, the Rail Museum and Hubli Public Garden near Hubli Railway Station in Karnataka, in addition to the Amingaon programme.

The Amingaon event will be attended by NFR General Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, along with senior railway officials, staff, their families and members of the public.

Family members of freedom fighters will be honoured, and a display highlighting the Armed Forces’ achievements during ‘Operation Sindoor’ will be presented.

Indian Railways has also set up special ‘Operation Sindoor’-themed selfie points at various locations for visitors to capture their patriotic moments.

NFR has invited residents of Guwahati and nearby areas to join the celebrations, enjoy the RPF Band’s open-air performance at the scenic Eco Park, and commemorate the nation’s 79th Independence Day with music, unity and pride.
