GUWAHATI, July 13: The National Health Mission (NHM), Assam, organised a Digital Health Conclave, a state-level review cum orientation workshop on ‘Online Health Portals’ on Wednesday, at the Assam Administrative Staff College. Dr M S Lakshmi Priya, IAS, mission director of NHM, Assam, Pankaj Chamuah, ACS, OSD, NHM, state program officials, and district health teams from NHM, Assam, were present during the meeting.
The one-day review cum orientation workshop focused on the various health portals and involved participants from all districts of Assam. The main objective of the conclave was to review each portal, identify any gaps hindering performance, and formulate strategies for smooth data flow and improved data quality.
The meeting commenced with the agenda points and highlighted the significance of health portals in enhancing healthcare services in the state. Subsequently, demonstrations and orientations on the 47 online health portals were conducted by NHM state officials and developmental partners.
The workshop also included a district-wise review of each district’s health portals, followed by an interactive session with the district health teams to optimise the operation of the portals. The session focused on identifying gaps specific to each portal, and improvement plans were presented and discussed in detail.
During the conclave, Dr M S Lakshmi Priya, IAS, mission director of NHM, Assam, felicitated the best performers from the districts for their hard work and dedication in improving the health system in their respective areas.
The Digital Health Conclave highlighted the importance of online health portals in enhancing healthcare services and streamlining data management in Assam. The workshop aimed to identify and address any challenges or gaps in the portals to ensure the smooth functioning and improved performance of the health system.
