Nine held for collecting money illegally from vehicles in Srirampur

GOSSAIGAON, Oct 11: Simultapu police led by Sanjay Kumar Rai, I/C, Simultapu police out post on Monday arrested nine youths allegedly for collecting money from NH-31(C) Srirampur.

Sanjay Kumar Rai, I/C, Simultapu police out post said that based on an input, a raid was carried out in Srirampur and in the raid, nine youths were detained for collecting money illegally from various vehicles in the areas of Srirampur inter-state border.

The arrested persons have been identified as Niranjit Basumatary, Manoj Shah, Sanjay Sarkar, Md. Abusama Mandal, Md. Abu Bakkar Siddique, Md. Mafijul Islam and Md. Abdul Khalek Mandal. All are residents of Gossaigaon Sub-division.
