Nomination paper filed for Deori Autonomous Council

MARGHERITA, Oct 20: 4 candidates filed their nomination paper at Margherita sub-divisional administration (Civil) office on Wednesday for upcoming Deori Autonomous Council election from number 3 Margherita (ST) Constituency. The election is scheduled to be held on November 8, 2022.
The four candidates are Jogen Deori from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Khageswar Deori from Indian National Congress (INC), Independent candidates – Herembar Kumar Deori and Bimal Deori.
“Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on Thursday and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is October 25,” said officials of Margherita sub-divisional administration (Civil).
During the filing of nomination paper, 124 number Margherita constituency MLA Bhaskar Sharma, Tinsukia District Committee BJP president Kusha Kanta Borah, general secretary Pulok Chetia, Margherita BJP Sadar Mandal president Ashish Paul, Block Mandal president Bhabesh Dutta, Buridehing Mandal president Bhadeswar Moran, Namaste Anchalik Panchayat president Sukhdev Sharma, Zilla Parishad members, Gaon panchayat presidents & members and more than 3000 BJP workers and supporters supported Jugen Deori, a BJP candidate for Deori Autonomous Council election from number 3 Margherita constituency.
Jugen Deori said, “Under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many developmental works have taken place at 124 number Margherita constituency, and I am confident that Deori community will cast their valuable votes to BJP.”
