Noted anaesthesia specialist Dr Dilip Boruah dies at 76

NAGAON, Sept 14: Senior physician as well as noted anaesthesia specialist and a resident of Jagannath Mandir Path of the small town – Dr Dilip Boruah breathed his last on Tuesday night at a private hospital here due to sudden cardiac arrest. He was 76.
He leaves behind his wife and only daughter. He was retired as an anaesthesia specialist after rendering his service for over dozens of years in Nagaon BP Civil Hospital and after his retirement, he continued to serve the economically weaker sections of people in the society till his death.
Dr Boruah suddenly fell ill on Tuesday night right after eating food at his JM road residence. The family members immediately shifted him to a local private hospital where the doctor on duty later declared him dead.
The demise of Dr Boruah has cast gloom across the small town.
Local MLA Rupak Sarma, former AGP minister Girindra Kr Boruah and a host of Nagaon based dignitaries condoled his demise and prayed for eternal peace of his departed soul.
