Obituary | Ashim Kundu

Senior photo journalist, Ashim Kundu breathed his last at his Nagaon Jyoti Nagar residence due to pressure stroke on Thursday night. He was 61.
Kundu was the president of Nagaon Photographers’ Association and served the popular Assamese monthly magazine ‘Bismoi’ as a photo journalist and also served as a still photographer to noted Assamese filmmaker and director Arup Manna in all feature films directed as well as produced by him.
Besides, Kundu also worked as a photojournalist in the local Assamese news channel ‘Nagaon Talks’.
His demise was condoled by various journalists’ organisations, socio-cultural organisations and other dignitaries of the small town, who prayed for his eternal peace.
His demise has cast a pall of gloom across the small town.
