Parshuram Das, a retired school teacher and leading social worker of Balasiddhi under Chhaygaon LAC in Kamrup district, breathed his last on Saturday at his residence due to cancer. He was suffering from cancer for the last three months. He was 65.
It may be mentioned here that he was the president of Chhaygaon Champaknagar Rash Mahotsav Committee. He leaves behind his wife, three sons, and a host of relatives at the time of death. His death was widely mourned in Chhaygaon.
