One dead in road mishap

DEMOW, Oct 26: The NH-37 road has turned out to be a killer highway in Demow of Sivasagar district.
A road accident took place in Demow Bhalukaguri at NH-37 Road on Tuesday where a person died on the spot and another person was seriously injured. The deceased has been identified as Asikul Ali, a resident of Sivasagar Demowmukh. The injured person has been identified as Sahidur Ali.
According to sources, a Santro Car (AS 04 E 4684) which was coming at a high speed from Dibrugarh and was heading towards Sivasagar lost its control and skidded of the road in Demow Bhalukaguri at NH-37 Road on Tuesday where a person died on the spot and another was seriously injured.
The locals alleged that due to the poor condition of NH-37 road the accident took place.
