ONGC Employees Association bids farewell to Punaram Mili

HT CorrespondentSIVASAGAR, Sept 7: On his superannuation, Punaram Mili, the past president of All India ONGC SC& ST Employees Association and the president of Sivasagar Sports Association was bid a hearty farewell by the ONGC Purbanchal Employees Association in a meeting held in the Officers’ Club ONGC Colony Sivasagar on Sunday.

Addressing the gathering, Sanjeev Baruah, national leader of the Workers’ Unions, said that Punaram Mili is associated with over 50 organisations and has been contributing substantially to the socio-economic development of the region besides establishing a college in Desangmukh.

The meeting was attended among others by Rajesh Sarma, executive director, ONGC Assam Asset. Sarma said that Punaram Mili was a dedicated worker and a leader both in the Assam Asset and outside. The three GGMs of the ONGC Assam Asset -Rajesh Tewari, Rajesh Khetri, and M Ganeshan in their speech highly appreciated Mili’s leadership qualities and his knack for work culture.

Punaram Mili was conferred the Dr. BR Ambedkar Memorial Award and Swahid Kamala Miri Memorial Award
