He said that instruction has been given to the Panchayat representatives to ensure that not a single beneficiary above the poverty line is included. He said that he will personally verify the list.
Emphasising on the central and state government’s various people oriented developmental activities, minister Suklabaidya said that with the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and state CM Himanta Biswa Sarma – led government, there has been a drastic change from Dholai’s communication system to education, which was hardly done by the previous government. Since the establishment of the present government at the Center and the state, various public-oriented projects have been undertaken for the welfare of the people and each project has been dedicated to the service of the people.
Addressing the Orunodoi project in the meeting, the minister reiterated that Orunodoi is a historic project of the present government. This project was first started on December 1, 2020 by the government of Assam with Rs 830. Then in 2021, it was increased to Rs 1000. Later, as a result of the concerted efforts of the chief minister of Assam, this project was transformed into the largest project between the Center and the state government and announced it as ‘Orunodoi 2.0’ at Rs 1,250.
