Outreach programme held

GUWAHATI, Dec16: An outreach programme/talk show with healthcare workers, doctors, nurses, etc., was held on Thursday in Guwahati by the Income Tax department, North Eastern Region.
The outreach programme was organised by the office of the principal chief commissioner of Income Tax, NER, Income Tax department as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and to create awareness about transparent taxation.
Raju Tayeng, IRS, principal chief commissioner of Income Tax, NER while addressing the healthcare workers, doctors, nurses, and officers & staff of the Income Tax department acknowledged the role played by the doctors, nurses and other health workers during the pandemic and also thanked them for their hard work and proactive role.
In the program, 30 healthcare workers including doctors and nurses from across the city participated. All the participants were felicitated with a gamosa, memento, plant and a token gift as a sign of gratitude.
A panel discussion was also held with a diabetologist and a gynaecologist and a discussion was held on topics of general wellbeing and other health matters concerning public health. A presentation was also given by Dr Udayan Baruah on ‘Good Health’.
