HAFLONG, Aug 3: Along with other districts of Assam, Pension Seva Kendra (PSK) was inaugurated at Shiksha Bhawan, Haflong by minister of HAD Jogen Mohan here. In presence of NCHAC CEM Debolal Gorlosa, NCHAC chairperson Ranu Langthasa, EMs of NCHAC Ratan Jarambusa, Lalrimsima Darnai, deputy commissioner Nazreen Ahmed, ACS, NCHAC principal secretary TT Daulagupu, ACS, inspector of school Gaiyatri Naiding, DIPRO Purabi Phonglo, members of apex body and other officials.
Speaking on the occasion, minister of HAD said that opening of this service in each district of Assam will benefit the people as the service will be available at their door steps.
During the occasion, CEM of NCHAC, Debolal Gorlosa said, “The Kendra will provide facilities for the retired employees to get their pension related work done such as processing of pension payment order, monthly pension, etc., in the district without visiting the Directorate at Guwahati.” Thanking the government for their initiative for the convenience of the retired government employees, Garlosa said that this Kendra will specially benefit those who reside in far off districts like Dima Hasao.
Lauding the steps taken by the government, deputy commissioner Nazreen Ahmed said that this service centre shall definitely benefit the pensioners especially those with health issues after their retirement.
Under the new system, PSK operators will scan and upload service books and forward correct service books and records to heads of offices functioning as custodians of service books through Kritagyata portal. PSKs will help heads of offices receive scanned copies of the correct service book against each retiree. These Kendras had been set up in all the districts to streamline the pension procedures which were earlier very lengthy and painstaking.
