Police Commemoration Day observed

DIPHU, Oct 21: The Police Commemoration Day was observed by the entire police fraternity nationwide on October 21 to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of 10 brave men of 3rd Bn CRPF who laid down their precious lives in the service to the nation while fighting and neutralising Chinese Aggression on October 21, 1959, at Hotspring, Ladakh (J&K).
Accordingly, Police Commemoration Day was observed on October 21 at Unit Hqr20 Bn, CRPF at Birla Plywood Factory, Diphu, Karbi Anglong (Assam), which was presided over by the unit commandant Swarn Singh and attended by unit officers, SOs and jawans.
On the occasion, homage was paid to all the martyrs of the entire state police and CAPFs who attained martyrdom in the line of duty and the names of those who sacrificed their lives during from September 1, 2021 to August 31, 2022 were also read out by the unit commandant.
