DEMOW, April 1: The Poshan Pakhwada programme started in Demow from Thursday. An awareness meeting on nutrition, hygiene, prevention of Anaemia, deworming, Covid-19 handwashing steps was organised by Demow Block Primary Health Centre in Laojan Khongia LP School near Demow on behalf of Poshan Pakhwada where school teacher, SMC members and parents were present on Thursday. On Friday, a meeting was organised in Gossainbari Tea Estate near Demow where the women were made aware about child marriage, hygiene, nutrition, prevention of Anaemia, deworming. During the meeting, Hemoglobin tests of the women were done and the weight & height of the babies were checked. Dr Rupam Borkotoky, deputy superintendent of Demow Model Hospital, Dr Rajib Jangid, Dr Sunny Farhad, Dr Jayshree Bora and all the doctors of Demow Block Primary Health Centre, Diganta Baruah, counsellor, sub-centre ANM, ASHA, LAB Tech and RBSK Team were present during the awareness meeting on Friday.
