PPMYM To Organise ‘Luitporiya Bihu Sammelan’ From April 16

GUWAHATI, April 12: Purbottar Pradesiya Marwari Yuva Manch (PPMYM) is set to organise Rongali Bihu on April 16 and 17 at Vrindavan Garden at Sri Gauhati Goshala in Guwahati. As a representative of the entire Marwari community, Marwari Yuva Manch has always respected and promoted the regional language as well as the culture and has always come forward to celebrate the regional festivals from time to time. Many branches of Purbottar Province have been continuously celebrating the festival of Bihu.

Inspired by the clarion call of chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for the Marwari community to organise the festival of Bihu, the president of Purbottar Pradeshiya Marwari Yuva Manch, Himshikhar Khandeliya has put forward a vision named ‘Luitporiya Bihu Sammelan’ which will be organized all over Assam. He has also issued a common SOP to all the branches to celebrate the same.

In a centralised way, ‘Luitporiya Bihu Sammelan’ will be celebrated on the coming April 16 and 17 in Guwahati with various programmes in line. On April 16, a symbolic flag hoisting programme will mark the beginning of the two-day event, followed by a ‘husori’ performance, various cultural programmes are also being planned for the evening.

On April 17, a gala cultural night will be held.

The programme will also witness felicitation of a few renowned personalities from literature and music industry. One of the famous singers from Assam, Zublee Baruah will perform live along with other artists from the Marwari community.

The two-day event will be graced by state chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma; minister Ashok Singhal; member of Parliament Queen Ojha; advisor to AASU, Samujjwal Bhattacharya; MLA from East Guwahati Siddharth Bhattacharjee; MLA from West Guwahati Ramendra Narayan Kalita along with various eminent personalities.

All the Marwari organisations based in Guwahati are working hand in hand to make this a wonderful event. The founding president of Marwari Yuva Manch, Subhash Sikaria; ex-president of All India Marwari Yuva Manch; Anil Kumar Jaina along with National VP of AIMYM, Rajeev Chandak; various committees as well as members of local branches of AIMYM are working together to make this event successful.
