Preparation on for annual convention of Demow Press Club

DEMOW, Oct 28: The preparation for annual convention of Demow Press Club and Dr Bhupen Hazarika (Sudhakanta Divas) which will be held on November 4 and 5 with big schedule in Demow Jyoti-Bishnu Cultural Building is on full swing.
As per the schedule, on November 4, the programme will start with flag hoisting which will be followed by ‘swahid tarpan’. An All Assam Basis Bhupendra Sangeet Competition will be organised on November 4.
On November 5, an art competition will be organised and a special extempore speech programme and an open session will be held.
Mayur Borah, renowned writer will be present in the programme as orator.
In the open session, the founder of Demow Press Club and former media persons of Demow Press Club will be felicitated and the prizes of Bhupendra Sangeet Competition will be given.
During the evening, the ceremonial lamp in front of the photo of Dr Bhupen Hazarika will be lit and a documentary prepared by Demow Press Club of Dr Bhupen Hazarika will be screened.
A cultural programme will be organised on Bhupen Hazarika which will conclude the two days long programme.
