However, the looted amount has not yet been recovered. The police were searching for the amount with Hamid Ali on Sunday night when the encounter occurred. Hamid Ali was hospitalised after sustaining a bullet injury, and two police personnel were also hurt.

The people have demanded the arrest of any robbers for a peaceful life. It is worth mentioning that two businessmen, Ebrahim Ali in Bajali and Ashok Goel in Goalpara district, lost their lives in attacks by miscreants in the past two weeks. The conscious and harmless people are now very anxious as miscreants in different parts of our state are seen to be active in robbery, looting, and other crimes, which may deteriorate the law and order situation.
