BISWANATH CHARIALI, Sept 29: The Naduar chapter of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has officially lodged a FIR against senior journalist and editor-in-chief of the vernacular daily ‘Amar Asom’ at the Jamuguri Police Station. The action comes in response to a news article published in ‘Amar Asom’ on September 21, which contained a quote attributed to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

The Naduar chapter of RSS alleges that journalist Manoj Kr Goswami distorted the original quote made by Bhagwat during his address to students at a hostel in Nagpur. They claim that instead of accurately representing Bhagwat’s lecture, Goswami’s newspaper published a misinterpretation that has caused confusion among the general public.

The Naduar chapter of the RSS, led by Rajib Das and Khiradhar Hazarika, visited the Jamuguri Police Station and formally filed the FIR. The FIR requests legal action against journalist Goswami for his alleged misquoting of the RSS chief. The officer-in-charge of the Jamuguri Police Station has confirmed that the FIR has been recorded in the General Diary (GD) of the police station.
