Sadou Asom Lekhika Samaroh Sivasagar Session to begin on Oct 13

SIVASAGAR, Oct 6: Sadou Asom Lekhika Samaroh, the biggest organisation of women writers in the state will hold its 29th biennial session in Sivasagar Boarding Field from October 13 to 16.
The lie-khuta installation programme for the purpose was attended by a large number of the members of the organising committee. The lie-khuta was ceremonially installed by Monica Saikia, a leading woman activist and educationist of the state. The ceremonial lamp was lit by Tarulata Gogoi, senior member of the committee.
The programme was attended by Dr. Nirupoma Mahanta, the chairperson of Sivasagar Municipality Board (SMB) Mrinali Konwar, former chairperson Mridusmita Sinha, Dr. Praksh Kotoky, and members of the district committee. Subhadra Bora, secretary of the organising committee, told the media that the session will be attended by Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and a host of other dignitaries.
