Scribe Dr Abu Hanifa commemorated on his first death anniversary

NAGAON, April 1: The members of Nagaon Press Club commemorated the founder president of the club, noted academician and scribe Dr Abu Hanifa on his first death anniversary on Friday in a function held at Nagaon press club and also paid homage to him.

The commemoration programme was initiated with the lightening of earthen lamps in front of his portrait following which the members of the club paid floral tribute.

Senior scribe Jiten Borkatoki anchored the commemoration programme while former president of the club Kanak Hazarika, retired professor Naba Kumar Mahanta spoke on the occasion and also deliberated about the life of Dr Hanifa as well as his unmatched contribution towards the field of journalism.

A dozen dignitaries from various fields of the society in the district graced the occasion and also paid homage to Dr Hanifa on his first death anniversary.
