Sivasagar receives award for winning first position in Gunotsav 2022

SIVASAGAR, Dec 28: Sivasagar district achieved first position among the districts in Assam in Gunotsav 2022 conducted by the government of Assam.
The inspector of schools, Sivasagar circle, Kamaljyoti Gogoi, received the award in Guwahati from the chief minister of Assam.
Arriving in Sivasagar, Gogoi told the media that the district achieved 54 pc in overall assessment while Majuli district got 27 pc in the tally. He said that 559 schools in the Sivasagar district, out of over 1200 got A+ grades in the Gunotsav which is quite inspiring.
He however added that the schools getting below grades will have to be upgraded for which the teachers, guardians, and the administration need to work in tandem.
He said that the government is awarding Rs 25000 to each school and it will be increased to Rs 50000, next year.
Konwarpur Press Club awarded the inspector of schools, Kamaljyoti Gogoi with Siksha Ratna Award 2022 for his outstanding public service.
