TEZPUR, Nov 8: The District Development Committee meeting of Sonitpur for the month of November was held on Monday at Thakurbari Planters’ Club. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra in the presence of DDDC Utpal Bora, CEO, ZP, Karabi Saikia and heads of all departments.
The department-wise progress of various government schemes and implementation status was reviewed during the meeting.
Issues related to paddy procurement, health facilities in TGs, new infrastructure projects under various departments, status of culling of pigs infected with AFS, awareness and preventive measures for dengue, progress of works under JJM, PMAY(G), Amrit Sarovar, etc., were discussed among others.
Discussion was also held regarding the observance of Lachit Divas in the district on November 24.
