Special camps for registration of new voters in Dima Hasao

GUWAHATI, Dec 1: Deputy commissioner Nazreen Ahmed held a press meet on ‘Special Camps for Registration of New Voters’ in connection with the Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll at DC Office Conference Hall in Dima Hasao on Thursday.
The citizens pertaining to 16-Haflong (ST) LAC that Special Camps for Registration of New Voters in connection with Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll, 2023 will be held on December 3 and 4, 2022 at all the polling stations of Dima Hasao district.
It is pertinent to mention here that all the citizens of eligible age who are yet to register themselves as voters have to register themselves through concerned BLOS either online or offline at respective polling stations or at the office of the district election officer, Dima Hasao, Haflong. Further, as per new Election Commission of India’s guidelines, for the current round of Annual Revision of Electoral Roll, 2023, any citizen attaining the age of 18 years by April 1, July 1 and October 1, 2023 have to submit an application in advance for registration as a voter. The required document for registration as a voter is a recent passport size photograph; for address proof, Aadhar card, electricity bill, bank passbook, etc.; and for age proof, birth certificate, Pan card, Aadhar card, driving licence, etc., and a copy of EPIC card of parents of the applicant may be provided to establish linkage.
