Special programme on application of NEP 2020 held at Nowgong College

NAGAON, Oct 15: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Nowgong College (autonomous) which is proposed to be upgraded to the status of a state university, organised a special programme on the application of New Education Policy 2020 at the college premises on Saturday.
Dr Sarat Borkatoki, principal of the college delivered the welcome address while Dr Bhuban Chandra Chutia, coordinator of IQAC anchored the inaugural session of the programme. Dr Rupesh Kumar, chief resource person and member of Higher Education Council, Government of Karnataka as well as administrative expert of NEP 2020 in the state of Karnataka, was present in the programme as chief resource person.
In his speech, Dr Rupesh Kumar expected that the application of New Education Policy 2020 would be more effective in Assam than in Karnataka. He said that due to the new policy, students’ fraternity will get mark sheets in online mode only. Hence, there will be no need to carry the paper testimonials for any purpose in the days to come, he informed.
Earlier, Dr Rupesh Kumar interacted with the heads of all departments of the college and took stock in preparation for the application of the New Education Policy 2020, a press note added.
