Thieves steal Rs 1 lakh from car in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH, April 6: In broad daylight, unidentified miscreants stole 1 lakh of rupees from a vehicle after smashing the glass of the vehicle in Dibrugarh on Wednesday.

The car bearing registration no AS-06-AF-2566 was parked at station road in Dibrugarh at around 3:40 pm.

The husband and wife after withdrawing Rs 1 lakh from State Bank of India, main branch, parked their vehicle at a parking slot and went to run some errands.

On returning they found that the window of their vehicle was broken and someone had stolen their plastic bag where they had kept the money.

They have registered a case at Dibrugarh police station.

According to police, the case has been registered and is currently under investigation.
