DALGAON, Nov 19: A labourer lost his life in a tiger attack in Dalgaon, sparking widespread fear and tension among villagers. The forest officials are yet to track down the elusive tiger, despite spotting footprints near Dharanipur, Dalgaon.

The tiger, believed to have crossed the border of Orang National Park, has created panic in the region. Forest officials are working tirelessly to locate the animal.

Rumours of 25 tigers crossing the park’s border have added to the villagers’ woes, but forest officials have debunked these claims, urging residents not to fall prey to misinformation.

Villagers spotted wildcat cubs in various places, including Kharupetia, Nepali Bazar, Mullapara, and others, mistakenly identifying them as tiger cubs, further fueling fears. Forest officials clarified the misconception, appealing to the public to remain calm.

Forest officials stated, “We urge people not to believe in rumours and misinformation. Our teams are working diligently to track down the tiger, ensuring the safety of both humans and wildlife.”

The situation remains tense, with villagers advised to exercise caution.
