MARGHERITA, July 21: A review meeting to discuss preventive measures against Japanese Encephalitis was held at the conference hall of the Tinsukia Deputy Commissioner’s office on Monday.
The meeting was chaired by Tinsukia Deputy Commissioner Swapneel Paul and attended by senior officials including the Chief Executive Officer of Tinsukia Zilla Parishad, Additional Commissioner of the Health Department, Joint Director of Health Services, District Agriculture Officer, District Veterinary Officer, Executive Officer of Tinsukia Municipal Board, and the District Programme Officer of the National Health Mission, among others.
The causes of the disease and the current situation in the district were reviewed in detail.
DC Paul issued instructions to the concerned departments for effective preventive action and urged all officials to take the issue seriously and carry out their responsibilities with diligence.
