According to sources from the villagers, the incident unfolded last Friday, April 5, when Waisong Bey, son of Mensing Bey, and his wife Monisha Lekthepi ventured into the nearby jungle to forage for vegetables.

During their excursion, they collected wild mushrooms, which they brought back home.

Later that evening, the family prepared and consumed the mushrooms, unaware of the danger they posed. Subsequently, all nine members of the family ingested the toxic mushrooms.

On April 6, all nine family members began experiencing symptoms of illness, including vomiting, headache, and stomach pain. Tragically, before they could receive medical assistance, Malong Bey (10) and Sarlong Bey (15), two sons of Mensing Bey, along with his daughter Lokhi Beypi (18), succumbed to the poisoning at home.
