Training session of trainers at RARS Gossaigaon concludes

GOSSAIGAON, Dec 9: A two-day training of trainers on harvesting and drying, storage and processing of rice successfully concluded at the premises of Regional Agricultural Research Station, Gossaigaon, AAU, Kokrajhar which was scheduled on December 6 and 7, 2022 in Kokrajhar district, under the banner of Project APART.
The training was conducted under the supervision of Dr Rohit Namdeo, national consultant IRRI, Dr SK Paul, chief scientist, RARS Gossaigaon, Akhoy Bharadwaj, junior researcher, IRRI and APART staff where a total of 25 progressive farmers attended the training session.
The training was started by a welcome speech by Suravi Nandi, project associate, APART, then a brief overview was given by Dr SK Paul, chief scientist, RARS, Gossaigaon.
The training programme was started by Dr Rohit Namdeo, national consultant, IRRI. The training was well rounded with knowledge of machineries and advanced technologies and practical knowledge on the machines like combine harvester, drum seeder, paddy thresher, etc.
The training ended with a post evaluation test and vote of thanks by Suravi Nandi, PA, APART.
