Triennial general meeting of Chemists & Druggists Association of Assam held

GUWAHATI, Aug 7: The triennial general meeting of the Chemists & Druggists Association of Assam was held on Sunday at the Institute of Engineers (India), Panbazar.
The point wise break up of Sunday’s meeting: (a) Stop online sale till amendment of Drug and Cosmetics Act 1940 Rule 1945, (b) Pharmacy Act 1948 should be governed in respect to online sale, (c) Patient safety is the first priority for rational use of drugs, (d) Implementation of E-Prescription in true spirit with proper code, etc., (e) Misuse of self medicated drugs, (f) Reduction of prices of life saving drugs, (g) Maintain decorum of all channel partners, retail, wholesale and C&FA, (h) Right to poor retailers should be protected, (i) Live and Let Live Policy for small and micro business, (j) Patient friendly approach from all our members and service to the patient is our soul motto.
