SIVASAGAR, Aug 18: In a significant development, the Demow police carried out a Pre-Independence Day raid on August 13 resulting in the apprehension of Dibyajyoti Chetia from Barua Changmai Gaon and Raju Ahmed from Dehajan. Acting on specific information, the arrests were made on allegations of their association with ULFA(I).

During the operation, law enforcement recovered incriminating documents along with a motorcycle lacking a number plate from the possession of the apprehended individuals.
