UPPL felicitates newly elected MP Rwngwra Narzary

KOKRAJHAR, April 1: United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) party members and well-wishers have accorded warm welcome and felicitation to newly elected Rajya Sabha MP Rwngwra Narzary during a felicitation programme held at UPPL central party office in Kokrajhar on Friday.

UPPL general secretary (in-charge) Raju Narzary and party supporters welcomed Rwngwra Narzary with traditional Aronai and a flower bouquet followed by citizens from all walks of life.

Notably, Narzary (UPPL) was elected as a Rajya Sabha MP along with Pabitra Margherita (BJP) on Thursday in the Rajya Sabha elections held in the state of Assam.

Narzary arrived at Dotma Thulungapuri on Friday morning after being elected as Rajya Sabha MP.

Narzary was a former ABSU president and presently working president of the UPPL party. He offered floral tribute to Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma, former ABSU president.

He was also açcorded a warm welcome and felicitation by the party supporters and workers at Dotma Thulungapuri.

Later, he interacted with the party leaders, workers and members at Dotma block UPPL party office.

UPPL party has extended sincere thanks to the chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, BJP president Bhabesh Kalita, AGP president Atul Bora for extending support to the NDA alliance candidates in Rajya Sabha elections.

Later, UPPL general secretary Raju Narzary and Rajya Sabha MP Rwngwra Narzary addressed the reporters at the party office.

UPPL general secretary Raju Narzary said that his party got a Rajya Sabha MP through the spirit of NDA alliance in the state.

He expressed his hopefulness that the newly elected MPs will be able to highlight issues of the state as a whole in the Parliament in the days to come.

Newly elected MP Rwngwra Narzary said that he will highlight the issues and welfare aspects of the state with dedication.

Narzary said that he will dedicate his services towards the welfare and integration among the whole state of Assam.

He said that the NDA government and UPPL party is committed to work deeply while addressing the people’s welfare and development as well as integration among all sections of the communities in the state.

He added that the UPPL led alliance government in Bodoland Territorial Region has been emphasising towards sustainable development across the region under the leadership of BTR CEM Pramod Boro and subsequently bringing forward more developmental activities.

BTR CEM and UPPL president Pramod Boro while extending congratulations to Rwngwra Narzary (UPPL) and Pabitra Margherita (BJP) on winning of the two Rajya Sabha seats from Assam expressed that he is confident and that both Narzary and Margherita will able to highlight developmental issues of the state in the Upper House.
