KOKRAJHAR, Oct 28: The ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) has decided to hold its 3rd Triennial Conference at Chandrapara playground in Kokrajhar district.
Notably, the conference will be held on November 11, 12 and 13.
A massive preparation and arrangement is underway for organising the party conference with a colourful programme scheduled which will be witnessed by lakh of participants from different districts of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
Nearly 10,000 delegates from different districts of the party will participate in the conference.
The party will thoroughly discuss and build strategy for the upliftment of the party and towards the party’s development and integration across the region.
President of United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) and Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) chief executive member (CEM), Pramod Boro visited the Chandrapara playground for field inspection on Friday.
He was accompanied by the BTR executive member, Ranjit Basumatary; MLA of Kokrajhar East and chairman of reception committee, Lawrence Islary; BTR MCLA and chief convenor of the reception committee, Madhab Chetry.
Boro took stock of the preparation and arrangements of the conference. He also interacted with the members of the sub-committees of the reception committee and senior party leaders at the conference venue.
Meanwhile, legislator of Assam Assembly (MLA) of Kokrajhar East LAC and chairman of reception committee of UPPL’s 3rd Triennial Conference, Lawrence Islary laid the ‘Lai Khuta’ for holding the upcoming conference of UPPL party on Friday at Chandrapara playground in the presence of huge party leader, workers.
Islary said that the party has been emphasising for bringing healthy welfare and all-round development across the Bodoland Territorial Region districts.
Chief convenor of the reception committee and MCLA, Madhab Chetry; BTR executive members Daobaisa Boro, Wilson Hasda, Dhananjay Basumatary; MCLAs Sanjay Swargiary,Champawati Deka, Dilip Boro,Pabitra Kumar Boro, several senior party leaders were present in the event.
