GUWAHATI, Dec16: In a poignant moment for Assamese entertainment, Jayanta Das, the beloved actor celebrated for his role in the hit comedy serial ‘Bharaghar,’ breathed his last on Saturday at the age of 54.

Succumbing to liver ailments, Das had been under intensive care at Apollo Hospital in Guwahati.
