Guwahati, 11 Oct: The viscera report of the late Assamese singer Zubeen Garg has been dispatched to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) from the forensic laboratory in Delhi, marking a vital stage in the investigation into his suspected orchestrated death. CID Additional Director General Munna Prasad Gupta confirmed that the viscera report findings will now be thoroughly correlated with the GMCH postmortem findings.
Gupta told the media that a special expert committee has been constituted at GMCH to go through both the viscera and postmortem reports. The committee will check the reports in detail to ensure they are in agreement and accurate before drafting a composite report. He informed that this composite report will be submitted by the expert committee to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in the next two days.
The viscera report is expected to be the key evidence to elucidate the circumstances of the singer’s death, which has received huge public attention. Meanwhile, the investigation has picked up the pace, and authorities are hoping that the analyses provided by the expert panel will provide the necessary clarity to determine the next course of actions in the case.
