Located around 12 kilometres from Gossaigaon town and nearly six kilometres interior from Satyapur Mahamaya Dham, Sakam Nala is predominantly inhabited by members of the Santhal community.

The programme was held in the courtyard of local resident Babulal Murmu, where villagers assembled in large numbers.

The team, led by president Mrinalini Deka Kalita and secretary Kabita Choudhury, reached the village in the morning with bundles of garments.

Addressing the gathering, the president and adviser Shankar Choudhury briefly outlined the objectives and ongoing social initiatives of the organisation.

Adviser Mrinal Kalita, well-wishers Rajnayan Brahma and Mahatma Sahu, teachers Kamal Saha and Jacky Das, along with the village headman, were also present and extended their cooperation.

The organisation expressed gratitude to residents of Gossaigaon town who voluntarily donated wearable clothes in response to its appeal.

Significantly, Birangana has been conducting various social welfare activities across the greater Gossaigaon sub-division without any governmental or non-governmental financial assistance.

From combating social evils such as witch-hunting and child marriage to raising awareness against trafficking and domestic violence, the organisation has continued its efforts through self-funded initiatives since its inception.
