JORHAT, May 14: In a bid to boost entrepreneurship and innovation in the Northeast, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Assam Women’s University recently organised a workshop titled ‘Role of Incubator in the Start-Ups of North-East India’.
The workshop was conducted in collaboration with the North East Agriculture Technology Entrepreneurs Hub (NEATEHUB), a notable initiative from Assam Agricultural University dedicated to supporting agricultural and rural development through innovation. In the inaugural lecture, Ajanta Borgohain Rajkonwar, Vice-chancellor of the Assam Women’s University highlighted the significance of start-up initiatives as a potential space for women to build their free economy.
Dr K. Karthikeyan, CEO NEATEHUB, emphasised the importance of creating a conductive ecosystem for start-ups in the region. Nibir Akash Baruah, content development and PR manager of NEATEHUB of AAU also attended the workshop as another resource person. The workshop was coordinated by Bijoy Gogoi, faculty of the department of political science and Prashanta Puzari, director of IQAC. More than 200 participants across different disciplines participated in the workshop.
