NEATEHUB Felicitates Agri Startups With Funding

JORHAT, Dec 25: The North-East Agriculture Technology Entrepreneurs Hub (NEATEHUB), an agribusiness incubator affiliated with Assam Agricultural University, celebrated a valedictory and cheque distribution ceremony, recognising 10 agribusiness startups. These innovative ventures received a total funding of Rs 160 lakhs under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana – Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture and Allied Sectors Rejuvenation (RKVY-RAFTAAR) scheme.

NEATEHUB, operating as an agribusiness incubator, supported these entrepreneurs through its Isanya and Saranya incubation programs, targeting the idea and startup stages, respectively. Participants in the Isanya program secured pre-seed funding of Rs 5 lakhs each, while those in Saranya received up to Rs 25 lakhs per startup.

The selected Isanya entrepreneurs at the pre-seed stage include Sabina Farmin Saikia of Eco Web Lab Pvt Ltd. The Saranya entrepreneurs at the seed stage comprise Devajit Sharma of Aquagreen Eco-Farming Pvt Ltd, Liba Elijah Raiveio of Twosis Garden Pvt Ltd, Pushpanjali Das of Greenbam Infratech Pvt Ltd, Dr Syed Wasifur Rahman of Asomi Polyseed Pvt Ltd, Khumanthem Rakesh Singh of Lemlei Enterprise Pvt Ltd, Rejaul Gabil Momin of Gabil Agro Industries Pvt Ltd, Dr Bijaylakhmi Goswami of Agrithink Services LLP, Ranjit Baruah of Tender Buds Teas & Crafts Pvt Ltd, and Monalisha Borthakur of AmbyGold Manorama Foods Pvt Ltd.

The chief guest for the ceremony was Akash Jyoti Gogoi, a distinguished entrepreneur and recipient of the ‘Assam Gaurav’ award. Dr BC Deka, addressing the audience, highlighted the necessity of innovation in agribusiness and encouraged entrepreneurs to expand their ventures beyond the region. Dr Danish Tamuly, director on the board of NEATEHUB, stressed the significance of technology-driven innovation in the north-eastern region.

Established in 2018 on the AAU campus, NEATEHUB operates as an Atal Incubation Centre, fostering a sustainable ecosystem for emerging agripreneurs in the northeastern region by providing technical support, mentorship, allied services, and co-working spaces.
