GUWAHATI, Aug 31: In a remarkable feat of accomplishment, Yapoli Pegu, hailing from Assam, emerged victorious by clinching the coveted ‘Mrs India – She is India 2023 Diva Award’ at a prestigious national-level female empowerment event held at The Umrao, New Delhi. The event took place on Wednesday, and saw Yapoli Pegu representing the North East India region with grace and prowess. Among a group of nine finalists, she stood out and secured the award, showcasing her exceptional qualities.
Born in the town of Jonai, Yapoli Pegu is the daughter of Holiram Pegu and Renu Doley Pegu. She is not only an esteemed practitioner of advanced yoga but also a source of inspiration for her community and beyond. The award-winning competition, organised by the esteemed team of Mrs India Universe, recognised Yapoli Pegu’s outstanding accomplishments and her commitment to empowerment and personal growth.
