Youth Club Development Campaign Organised

HAMREN, Aug 9: Nehru Yuva Kendra, Diphu, Karbi Anglong, ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India with Subaltern Development Club organised Youth Club Development Campaign (YCDC) under Socheng Block at the Zerikingding Sports Association (JSA), Zerikingding in West Karbi Anglong.
The campaign programme was chaired by the president, JSA, Joysing Engti. The programme started with lighting of candles, floral tributes and garlanding of the portrait of Swami Vivekananda.
Vice principal of Kapili College, Jeetendra Harijan addressed the youths in the campaign and encouraged them to form and run youth clubs for social awareness. He laid stress on the need of knowing the records in youth clubs. The youth clubs should keep records of proceeding register, membership fee register, programme register etc, in detail he said.
The president, JSA, Engti in his presidential speech stressed on the youth clubs to organise ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign ahead of the Independence Day celebration.
The programme was attended by the club president Biren Sing Kro; member, JSA, Dhonsing Millik; Jirikindeng Bazaar Committee, secretary, Bidyasing Bey and former NYC, Sanjit Harijan and Dhanraj Harijan. More than 85 youth and students of different youth clubs participated in the programme.
