Guwahati , 21 Oct:The committee formed to establish a permanent memorial for the late Zubeen Garg has decided to name the site “Zubeen Kshetra”. She noted that the memorial would go beyond remembrance, aiming to provide a public space where visitors could experience and engage with the ideals and artistic values that defined Zubeen’s life.
The committee, constituted on 16 October following a Cabinet decision, includes family members and cultural figures such as Palmee Borthakur, Shyamantak Gautam, Partha Sarathi Mahanta, Biren Singha, Anuradha Sarma Pujari, Pranjal Saikia, Pulak Banerjee, Dulal Manki, Tarali Sarma, and Sudarshan Thakur.
