Zublee Baruah records statement before SIT in Zubeen Garg death probe

GUWAHATI, Nov 9 : Popular As samese singer Zublee Baruah on Sunday appeared before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) at the CID headquarters here, where she recorded her statement in connec tion with the ongoing probe into the death of late singer Zubeen Garg. Baruah was inside the CID office for nearly two-and-a-half hours. Speaking briefly to the media after the questioning, an emotional Baruah said the investigation is still in progress.

“I have not been in formed yet if I need to appear again. We will have to wait for the SIT’s charge report,” she told reporters. Referring to allegations of financial mismanagement that have surfaced following Garg’s demise, Baruah clar ified that both her professional engagements and Zubeen Garg’s were managed by Siddharth Sharma.

“In my case, the same team handled my events and accounts, and no irregularities have been found so far. If anything has occurred in Zubeen da’s case, it is for the SIT to look into,” she said. Baruah also made a heartfelt appeal to fans regarding increasing discussions around music piracy. “Please do not support piracy. If you truly love Zubeen da, then don’t pirate his music or films,” she urged.
