GUWAHATI, Feb 6: Axis Bank on Friday announced the launch of Rooftop Solar Finance, a customised financing solution aimed at helping micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs adopt clean energy while optimising long-term energy costs.
Under the new programme, MSMEs can avail collateral-free loans ranging from ₹10 lakh to ₹2 crore, with flexible repayment tenures of four to seven years.
The scheme is designed to enable enterprises to invest in rooftop solar systems without straining their balance sheets or working capital cycles.
By supporting the installation of self-owned rooftop solar systems, the initiative seeks to help MSMEs reduce operating expenses, gain greater control over energy costs and strengthen financial resilience, while also contributing to India’s clean energy transition.
The product will be available across the country through Axis Bank’s extensive branch network.
To ensure quality execution and system reliability, the bank has partnered with leading original equipment manufacturers.
Axis Bank has also collaborated with a technology partner to provide MSMEs with greater transparency throughout the solar adoption process, including clarity on system costs, projected savings and execution timelines. The bank said the new financing solution aligns with its broader commitment to supporting sustainable business practices and enabling MSMEs to transition towards energy self-reliance.
