GUWAHATI, Feb 28: The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) hosted the 16th Biennial Conference on Entrepreneurship at its Ahmedabad campus, which began on February 26 and concluded on February 28.
The three-day event served as a vital platform for researchers, educators, and practitioners to present their findings on a range of topics related to entrepreneurship. Over 148 research papers from scholars across nine countries were presented, covering themes such as MSME entrepreneurship, technology and digital entrepreneurship, women entrepreneurship, and sustainable practices in the sector.
The conference was inaugurated by Prof (Dr) TV Rao, founder and chairman of TV Rao Learning Systems Pvt. Ltd., who emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in driving economic growth and innovation.
Dr Sunil Shukla, director general of EDII, highlighted the conference’s role in fostering a global exchange of ideas, offering insights that could influence future entrepreneurial practices and educational frameworks.
As part of the event, a Vice Chancellors’ and Directors’ Conclave was held to discuss innovations in entrepreneurship education, featuring representatives from top universities across the country.
The conference also included a Doctoral Colloquium, where PhD scholars and FPM students received mentorship on their research.
Additionally, two significant publications were released, including the 33rd volume of the Journal of Entrepreneurship, focusing on “Entrepreneurship and Society.”
This biennial conference continues to be a significant gathering for entrepreneurs, researchers, and educators, reinforcing the importance of innovation, policy advocacy, and research in shaping the future of entrepreneurship.
