Colors Launch New Dance Reality Show

GUWAHATI, April 9: Colors launched a new dance reality show titled ‘Dance Deewane Juniors’ recently. Handpicked from various parts of the nation through a stringent audition process, these children aged between 4 and 14 years are sure to set the stage on fire whilst performing in solos, duos, and groups and competing with each other. Guiding and mentoring them in this journey will be the esteemed panel of judges including Neetu Kapoor, Nora Fatehi, and the ace choreographer Marzi Pestonji. Joining them will be television’s heartthrob Karan Kundrra as the host of the show. Produced by Frames Production, Dance Deewane Juniors will premiere on April 23 next and air every Saturday and Sunday on Colors.

Talking about the show, Nina Elavia Jaipuria, head, Hindi Mass Entertainment, and Kids TV Network, Viacom18 said, “At Colors, it has always been our endeavour to offer a wide variety of content to our viewers and encourage the best of talent from across the nation. After the outstanding success of our flagship property ‘Dance Deewane’, we now present Dance Deewane Juniors, a dance show dedicated to kids. With an extraordinary panel of judges and an outstanding lineup of contestants, the show will raise the bar of entertainment and strengthen our weekend offerings.”

Manisha Sharma, chief content officer, Hindi Mass Entertainment, Viacom18, added, “Kids are a powerhouse of talent and passionate about dance. With Dance Deewane Juniors, we aim to celebrate their spirit and give them a larger-than-life platform. To mentor and guide the contestants, we have roped in an exceptional line-up of judges including Neetu Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and Marzi Pestonji, and Karan Kundrra as host. We have an array of performers and a promising line-up of contestants from different parts of the country who have given their heart and soul to their art form and Dance Deewane Juniors will give flights to their dreams.”

Neetu Kapoor added, “I am very happy to be coming into the audience home. I was waiting for the right opportunity. When I was offered Dance Deewane Juniors’, I was very excited about my judging debut. It is an absolute delight to see and mentor the little prodigies who are extremely talented and gifted. Along with the kids, I am even learning so many new things; be it different dance forms and styles or the Gen-Z lingo. I am having a blast on the show.”

Marzi Pestonji while sharing his thoughts commented, “Dance Deewane franchise has done exceptionally well in finding great dancing talents from across the country bringing them under the limelight and I am delighted to be a part of Dance Deewane Juniors. While judging, my focus is majorly going to be on the technical aspects and how well the contestants make use of their skills as we are looking for the X factor in the solos, duets, and the groups. The finesse, body language, choreography, and above all, the energy. The talent in the younger generation is unbelievable, and I am all charged up to watch some hardcore dance performances.”
