GUWAHATI, Feb 24: Eleven students from PhysicsWallah (PW) in Guwahati secured 98.5 percentile and above in the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination, reflecting strong performance from the city’s aspirants in one of India’s most competitive entrance tests.
Among them, Gopesh Garodia from Guwahati emerged as the top performer with an impressive 99.86 percentile.
He was followed by Dhruv Agarwal, who secured 99.52 percentile, and Santanu Roy with 99.47 percentile.
The results of JEE Main 2026 Session 1 were declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on February 16, 2026. The examination was conducted across 658 centres globally.
Gopesh prepared through PW’s tech-enabled Vidyapeeth centre and scored 99.31 percentile in Physics, 99.81 in Chemistry, and 99.85 in Mathematics, demonstrating consistent excellence across all three subjects.
Beyond Assam, several PW students also topped in their respective regions. Amiteshwar Singh from Jammu & Kashmir secured 99.83 percentile, Vishnu Bhardwaj Upadhyay from Meghalaya scored 98.96 percentile, and Hemakshi Kumar from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands achieved 98.26 percentile, emerging as leading scorers from their states.
Ankit Gupta, CEO of Vidyapeeth-Offline, PhysicsWallah, congratulated the students and said their performance is a testament to their hard work and dedication.
He encouraged successful candidates to shift focus towards the upcoming JEE Advanced examination.
Addressing students who did not meet their expectations, he advised them to treat the results as constructive feedback and prepare strategically for JEE Main 2026 Session 2.
The achievements underscore PW’s expanding presence in multiple geographies, including the Northeast.
Through its combination of online classes, offline Vidyapeeth centres, and hybrid Pathshala hubs, the organisation aims to make competitive exam preparation more accessible to students across diverse and remote regions.
