Schwing Stetter aims to plant 2.5 lakh trees by 2023

GUWAHATI, Aug 4: Schwing Stetter India has launched the Go Greenwith Schwing campaign. As part of their 25th-anniversary celebrations in India, the company aims to plant 2,50,000 trees globally by 2023.

The green drive commenced with a tree plantation event at two locations in India: Irungattukottai, Tamil Nadu, and Guwahati, Assam. V.G Sakthikumar, Managing Director of Schwing Stetter India, officiated the Irungattukottai event, where 30,000 tree saplings were planted. In Guwahati, the Assam Chapter of the plantation drive was officiated by Chief Guests Arup Kumar Mishra, Chairman of the Pollution Control Board, Assam, and Jadav Payeng, renowned as “The Forest Man of India,” marking the beginning of the campaign.

V.G Sakthikumar, Chairman & Managing Director of Schwing Stetter India, expressed his excitement about turning 25 and reiterated the company’s commitment to sustainability and the environment. He acknowledged the Young India volunteers working tirelessly for climate change and appreciated the support extended by CII and BAI for this noble cause across various states in India.
